Labour took its first seat on Mid Sussex District council last week when Paul Kenny was elected councillor for Haywards Heath Franklands Ward.

Paul said: “In the district council election on 4th May, residents in Haywards Heath Franklands Ward voted for change. After electing a Labour councillor to represent them, people can hope for a new approach to the issues they’ve told us they care about: the way housing and development are planned, and the dire state of local public services roads and transport.”

He vowed to work hard to repay the faith of voters.
