Your views on Mid Sussex anti-social behaviour
25th September 2023

The Labour Party encourages people to respond to Safer West Sussex Partnership’s recently launched consultation seeking views on anti-social behaviour.
Paul Richards, Labour & Co-Op candidate for Sussex police and crime commissioner, said:
Antisocial behaviour blights the lives of many people across our area. Noisy neighbours, litter, mindless vandalism, out of control dogs: these things ruin lives. The problem in Sussex is that there are too few police on patrol, and a feeling that if you call the police they won’t be there in time. Conviction rates are laughable. Law-breakers know the chances are they’ll get away with it.
I will put more neighbourhood police patrols on the streets of Sussex and start to rebuild trust, respect, and the rule of law.
I urge everyone to fill in the survey and share their experiences or antisocial behaviour. I urge the organisers of the survey to make it more than online, because many older and vulnerable people, often the victims of antisocial behaviour, are not online.’
